Plot: Two worlds collide when we drop into a boating community in Marina Del Ray with successful Hollywood agent Michael Thomas on his way to confront his young client Jake Bale. Jake is seemingly about to turn down the opportunity of a lifetime, starring in his first major motion picture, a role that Michael believes he has single-handedly carved out for him. Michael needs to know what is going on with Jake and get him to accept the role at all costs. He sheds his designer slacks and shoes for flip flops and board shorts deciding to rent and stay on a sailboat for the weekend in a quest to get to know his client better and understand what makes him tick. Adventure, high jinx, ecstasy and tragedy ensue as night lobster dives, trips to Chinatown, fishing excursions, and dock parties open up a whole new side to L.A. life that Michael has never seen before. His desire to convince Jake of taking the role in the film begins to give way to feelings of friendship and camaraderie he's not experienced for a very long time. Ultimately, the rug is pulled out from beneath Michael when he has to discover the hard way, that who you are, and how you treat others, is something you can never escape.
